Date: 2/9/12 10:11 PM I have recently lost weight and need to alter my collection of dress pants significantly. I have at least 8 pairs that need altering. The pants are in great shape and selling them would not economical. I need to take in at least 2 sizes (24 down to a 20) through the hip, thigh and calf.
How much can I take in the side seams without affecting the look of the pants? The waist is not an area of concern since most of the pants were very tight before I lost weight.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I am trying to keep costs down since my husband was laid off recently.
Thanks
Nan

Date: 2/9/12 10:54 PM Have a friend come over and pin for you. I'm taking in pants right now the lady lost 50 lbs she went from a sizw 22 to a 18. Instead of buying new pants we are taking in some of her better pants.
I pin at the back of the waist, the seat and the sides and underseams. only pin just enough to look good. Not to much that it distorts the look of the pants.
