It's all the hemless, sleeveless, buttonhole-less, trimless, homeless
creatures in the closet crying out....
Meanwhile, with mild winters, Spring is sneaking up early saying it's time for brights and pastels, put away your gloomy darks. One finish a week won't do it...

I am excited about getting started on spring stuff. I still have to finsh DH's jacket, and then I really need to make a couple more pair of pants for myself. I have been known to skip things in my que when I really get ready for the next season. However, I am one of those compulsive folks and won't start a new project til the one I am working on is finished. The bad part is I might rush it and mess up some of the finishing parts just to get it done.

Don't think of them as Winter 2011 -- think of them as Pre Fall 2012!

I went to an anti super bowl party @ my favorite indie fabric store, Sew It Seams, last Sunday. I sewed a double layer skirt from a lacy panel. I then needed a top. I found an already cut out top that I never got to, probably from a sewing retreat. I sewed it this week & trimmed w/ the skirt fabric for neck & sleeve bands. I also cut a scarf from the remnants. So, tomorrow, I'm going back to Sew It Seams for a fashion show in a brand new outfit! Sewing up that long forgotten top was just a thrill for me
