Before anyone gets upset by the title, I am not asking for *your* measurements but, rather, those of your beloved furry friends.
I want to make dog coats and I would like to know the following, if you would be so kind:
Length (from collar to base of tail)
Girth (around the largest part of the rib cage)
Waist (around the narrowest part of the waist)
Chest (from the collar, down to the end of the rib cage)
Neck (collar size)
Misc. (length from collar to forehead)
I would like to compare the measurements/ ratios of your fur kids to measurements I took from a small sample (including my beloved pup).
The coats I want to make are for the shelter dogs.
If your dog (or cat) is shy about having their measurements publicly posted, please send me a PM. :)
Thank you in advance.

It's so sweet of your to make coats for shelter dogs. Not only will it keep them warm, they'll look even cuter and more adoptable.
Here's my basset hound's measurements. He's 45lb and is on the small size for a male basset. I've seen males up to 90lbs. I have a couple pics of him on my pattern review.
Neck: 21.5" There's a lot of skin in its area
Collar to forehead: 9.5"

A shelter will have a variety of mixed breeds. The coats, if used will probably not be assigned to any one dog.
Make an assortment of small, med and large. The shelter will tell you what size is the most called for.
I make coats for other dog owners for their dogs, but not my dog - he acts as though it is not "manly"!
