I have a clutch of old Singers in the garage - two or three 99s, a 66, a Featherweight 221 - and they could all do with a new paint job and some new stickers (or decals, if that's the preferred term!) but I don't know if anywhere in the world sells such things. If somebody could help me out I'd appreciate it. These machines aren't worth anything much in their current state so I might as well play with them and make them clean and shiny again! I'm happy to get stuck in to one of them with stripper and spray paint, but if there aren't any stickers then the machine is going to look strange and naked when its done

Lareine, have you checked Ebay? I've seen some there.

Greg Keeler

Greg sells on ebay as well. He does FWs, but I know he also does custom decals, so he may be able to make, or guide you to someone who does make, other Singer machine decals.

I was just checking Greg's website that you linked and he does sell decals for other Singer machines than just Featherweights. For other Singers, he has decals these decals, 301, 15, 201 & 99. He also has decals for Pfaff 130.

I had read somewhere that only Featherweight decals were available, so that is good to know. There aren't a variety of styles (some models have more variance by year), but any is certainly better than none and the price is very decent averaging $20.

Thanks guys. I tried to buy some from Greg's website but they won't ship to New Zealand I'll try to find out why, and if there's a way around it. Maybe I need to go through a third party, but at least now I know the decals exist!

There was a place up in Canada that sold Singer decals of all the models.. but they ran out. Don't know if they're still around.

Hey Lareine,
I just tried to check out to NZ (as a test only, I live in Aus) and it worked. Looks like he has expanded his destinations

hi.......if the original decals are in tact, you can mask them. after u spray paint, remove the mask and the decals are still there. if they are real ratty, but visible, u can trace them and make stencils. spray the machine then stencil the "decals" back on. have fun

Actually, vintage Singers which have been repainted in non-black colors don't look strange at all without decals. Lynn Rowe has an awesome picture of her PCP with a vintage FW painted a yummy strawberry ice cream pink. Nary a decal to be seen, but that machine looks good enough to eat :)

Thanks, Bunny will love to hear the compliment! But she does have decals (black).

They are hard to see in this photo;

But I have seen repainted Singers without decals, and they looked great.
