Date: 2/12/12 1:25 PM ok, I am going to confess I am not normally a person who makes things for, or does anything with, babies. But a good friend is 6 months pregnant and I said I'd make a baby quilt.
Yesterday I went to my local fabric shop, and for the first time delved in to the world of printed cottons. This is stuff I would never ever choose for myself to wear as a dress because it would just look too busy on my 5 foot ten length. Big patterns are better.
So, I would just like to burble about my finds (please don't judge me as having gone gaga, this is a one off, honest!).
Apart from having washed the fabric in nice hot water with delicates washing liquid, and rinsing everything well, any tips on how else to treat fabric for babies?
I know they cant use quilts until they are past 3 months. My friend suffers from sensitive skin, so I thought I should use non biological soap.
