I'm making a muslin for Lisette 2211 blouse (view e) and have cut a size 12. I've done a FBA and I think the front looks ok but finding that it is too tight across the back - it fits a bit snug and I can't move my arms fully forward.
I haven't sewn very much for myself - wondering if I should try the next size up or to do some sort of adjustment for a broad back. The upper shoulders and neckline seem to fit well so I'm worried that the next size up would be too loose in those areas.
TIA

I made this in my usual simplicity size with an fba. I think I have pretty broad shoulders but didn't have problems with this pattern. Did you make enough of an fba? If the bust is lulling on the front fabric this might effect range of motion in the back. Are there diagonal drag marks pointing toward your bust? Also, some people have found the sleeve bands a bit snug. If they are tight, it may also effect how the shirt behaves when you move your arms forward. Or maybe yes you have a broad back and there is an adjustment to be made. Look at FIt for real People or search this website for how to.

Thanks. I have pinpointed that I have broad back area so needed to adjust the back. There is no pulling in the front area. Arm band fits fine. I have skinny arms but a broad back.
