Date: 2/21/12 10:07 AM I'm temporarily swearing off fabric shopping until I sew way more of my stash BUT ... I work directly across the street from FIT and the free FIT museum, and I'd love to organize an hour-long lunchtime get-together visit to the museum sometime in the next month.
They've got two exhibits up right now, "Fashion, A-Z: Highlights from the Collection of the Museum at FIT, Part One" and "IMPACT: 50 Years of the CFDA."

Any interest? I could probably do 12 noon or 1 p.m. any days except Tuesdays (that's when I have a lunchtime knitting group). I can't do lunch or fabric shopping, but the rest of you could before or after!
Also: if any NYC sewists are interested, the Brooklyn BurdaStyle Sewing Club is still meeting regularly (monthly)--we usually have a Sunday brunch once a month at a member's house in Red Hook near Brooklyn General (fabric and yarn store) ... let me know if you want more details. ------ ---

Date: 2/22/12 2:17 PM Deepika, I would love to join PR weekend, but it's not really toddler friendly, am I right? My daughter is a rowdy 20-month-old, and I can't get a babysitter on the weekends (and I can't ask my husband, since he watches her all week as a stay at home dad). :(
