Being as DH is out of town for a few days, I stay up late sewing--normally. But not so with the other evening. Of course, Fabric Mart sent an email flyer for some discounted corduroy. Now, I love corduroy for the winter, and then looked a sweater knit to go with it. Then, silly me, I looked at their link for the $15 bundle. There was just one left. Oh my...

So with trembling and quivering hands, as well as a mind that said, "Should I or Shouldn't I", I clicked on the button to add it to my cart. Then I was having buyer's remorse--"What on earth do I need more fabric for? Yes, I'm sewing but what I'm sewing isn't fast enough to take care of this bundle--should I receive it. But I won't worry about it because it was just one bundle left (they have to make more) and I probably won't get it." was the conversation in my head.

9:00 this morning and the package arrived---My oh my!!! Of course, the corduroy was beautiful, as well as the sweater knit. Although somewhat impulsive, those purchases weren't impulsive as the bundle. Then I spied it--wrapped in its plastic bag to show a "bundle" Click here

Left to right:
Silk, 1-5/8
Gabardine, 1-5/8
White cotton stretch twill, 1-1/2 x 60
Red cotton rib sweater knit, 1-5/8 x 60
Off white wool, 2 yd
Plaid poly chiffon, 1-5/8 x 45

And all for $15. I am stunned. Although the fabrics are beautiful, I feel I must have just those I'm absolutely interested in. So take a look at the classifieds to see which ones I'm letting go.

And in the meantime, I'm staying off the computer and sewing today.

Not to be an enabler, but I just spotted 2 different really nice designer fabrics on fabric.com, one of which I purchased from harts fabric for the full price, the other that I've just been eyeing.

The one I bought I paid 12.99/yd for is listed for 4.19 (different colorway than I bought, but seriously)! And the other from 18.99 to 8.99.

Why is it that, when I am not sewing, I have a tendency to shop for fabric? And of course I can shop much faster than I can sew. :)

I love FabricMart, but have not bought any so far this year. I keep compiling lists, though. :)

I looked too. And bought some. It wasn't what was posted, it was instead some woven silk at about $3.75/yd when all the discounts kicked in. Now I have to go and fess up in the fabric fast thread.

Late-night shopping sucked me in, too, bit it was for a good cause: Nice stretch black denim at fabric.com at a reasonable price (half the cost of many well-known vendors).
