Date: 2/25/12 12:22 PM I made a quilt for my DGD 3 years ago and Ericas.com had the pink and lavender I needed. I knew it would not get special treatment so I washed it several times in hot water and dried it on high and it survies like a dream. Grandson is on the way and would like to do one for him but Erica's only has the blue I need yellow too this time. Now all I can find is Minky. I would appreciate any input from anyone who has used Minky and how it worked for them. Thanks |

Date: 2/25/12 1:34 PM There is a store in the fabric district in downtown LA that specializes in Minky. When I was there the owner pulled out a bolt of the knock off fabric so we could see and feel the difference.
I have never purchased through the website, but I have bought fabric from the store and highly recommend the place. If this website doesn't show the color or pattern you want try calling the store.
Blue Moon Fabric ------ 2012 : starting stash 386, net additions 206, used 164, ending stash 428...I'm never going to get in front of this pile of fabric!

Date: 2/25/12 1:50 PM thanks so much. I think I might call because from what I'm seeing they only have the knock off on the web site...minky not minkee..crazy what they do with names isn't it. They may be saving the good stuff for the store and will be kind enough to let me at it. lol |

Date: 2/25/12 5:53 PM i've ordered a few times from Minky Delight. Yes they spell it differently but it is the same stuff. You can check with customer service there if you need to confirm, but I've quilted with their fabrics and they quilt and wash quite well. NOT like the cheap-o stuff I have seen at other places. |
