Date: 2/26/12 9:41 PM I am thinking about a sewing cruise next year.
I found one, waiting for the details (dates), to Alaska that is very reasonable for an inside room.
I have never been on a cruise before, but have been to a variety of sewing retreats and workshops that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Has anyone here been on a sewing cruise and what did you think of it? ------ Proud parent of a Dwight International School Honour Roll Student |

Date: 2/26/12 11:57 PM I saw that Bra-Makers Supply is having a cruise in 2013 -- haven't searched out the details yet but I have to say when I saw the notice the other day when placing an order, I am very intrigued.
I also have never been on a cruise but I think a sewing cruise would be a great initiation into cruising.

Date: 2/27/12 1:27 AM Two friends of mine went on a sewing cruise to Alaska about a year ago. It was mostly quilt-oriented. One said that she got seasick when she tried to work on the class project and the other said that she was okay. Each was making an embellished bag, I believe and both said that the kits were about $100 each. I don't know if this is the same cruise or not.
Kathy ------ Sewing and reading about sewing are daily pleasures.
I hope to use up lots of stash in 2012.

Date: 2/27/12 9:55 AM Sheila, that is the one I saw. They forgot to include the dates on the info sheet, but the rates are very reasonable. I am a short ferry ride away from Vancouver, so would only have the cost of the cruise to worry about.
Tall Mary, I am not worried about getting sea sick. I have grown up in, on and under water. I have been on very rough seas without any problem, even when those around me were not so lucky. ------ Proud parent of a Dwight International School Honour Roll Student |

Date: 2/27/12 10:00 AM I am seriously considering this cruise -- the rates are reasonable but the dates would be the determining factor for me (can't be during my busy business sewing season). Of course I'm on the prairies and would have to get to Vancouver but I have lots of AirMiles saved up so that should get me there.
