Well, this is a first for us. Snow in the greater Portland Oregon area on March 1st. I took pictures, as I can't believe we had snow this late in the season. If we get past Valentines Day without snow, it is usually done for the winter. We have 3+ inches out there.

DH told me at 3am when he put the dogs out it was snowing. Snowing? On March 1st? We had about an inch then. Now it is 7:30 am and we have over 3 inches. It is 32 degrees and it is starting to melt. I expect it to be all gone by noon if not sooner. Still, snow is not normal for us, and it is really pretty to look at. I took pictures, of course.

I really enjoy quilting. I love to play with fabrics, colors and pictures. I recently discovered how much fun applique can be. As I love making pictures, landscape quilting can be challenging, but seeing the picture come to life is so rewarding.

Puyallup Sew Expo is here! Yaa! And I'm lucky enough to live 10 minutes away. Safe travel to all coming. And hopefully I won't buy too much fabric.

You will need to start a new thread for this. I want to hear more aobut it, but on a seperate thread, so we can keep this one about March Sunshine, etc. I really do want to hear more about the Expo.

My Birthday is Monday the 5th...DH is taking me out on a date Sunday... wont tell me where, just said dress casual and be ready at noon.... Should be interesting...

I simply cant believe we are into March already....

Since this winter was pretty much a BUST, I'm going to stop sulking about the lack of snow & look forward to Spring. I'm dying to get outside to do some planting.

Today's good news My Mom's TV was repairable so none of us kids had to try to scrounge together money to buy her a new one! I am so relieved.... Mom loves her TV shows & old DVDs. ... very happy about this! ......

70 degrees last week..prediction of snow and 35 degrees today.....

What is the old saying about the month of March?? In like a Lion, out like a lamb?? we shall see....so far the lion is full of lukewarm air, not enough to do much around these parts....

I think I'm going to treat myself to something nice today.... probably some fabric ;)
