Do the patterns on burdastyle.com include a seam allowance? (I'm mostly wondering about this one.) I couldn't find any info about it in the big Burda thread up top... maybe I missed it. Thanks!

The ones I've downloaded have had the seam allowance included.

This is not necessarily true of the patterns that are uploaded by members (they generally mention this though)

Good luck, this is a great basic tee

I just downloaded Alexander blouse pattern, and SA was included. In the instruction there was a section about SA. It's weird because I'm so used to adding SA using Burda magazine patterns. :p

Trying to load the cute free "Weekend Blouse" pattern.
Strange--it's just a rough line drawing with no sizing, not like a multi-lined pattern to print and cut out, with no explanation.
Anyone tried this?

Last year I ended up making a dress for someone who had downloaded the pattern from Burdastyle. Her mother had missed the notation that seam allowances WERE NOT included.

I think it is important to read the info about the particular pattern you are downloading. It appears from what others have said that it is not consistent whether SA is included or not.

I just followed your link. If you look to the right of the photo and read the info about this pattern, you will see a box headed Seam Allowance. There is a comment that seam allowances are included.

Just looked this up to confirm my suspicions - the Weekend Blouse was drafted by a Burdastyle user. It's not an official Burda pattern. That's one of the things you can do at Burdastyle, share your own free patterns, and they are of varying quality.

Thanks, did you find a mention of the size? Cute in that dressier fabric, but deceiving to throw it in the Burdas.

Guess one could figure it out, just would like to know at what bodice armhole point to cut open a regular pattern + amount extra in front width for those pleats.
