My girls are 5 and 8. We are looking for a fun family vacation somewhat close to home. Any suggestions?

Last summer my family went to cedar point and I had so much fun on the rollercoaster and their waterpark. Six flags is another great option.

Drive up Lake Michigan on the Michigan side. Lots of harbors, docks and little towns. Go in July and pick blueberries.

What are the general interests of the crew? Do you guys like the urban or the rural landscape?

Louisville, KY is a ton of fun! We have the Louisville Sluggers museum, the Frazier Arms museum, Churchill Downs, Louisville Zoo, Louisville Science Center and so much more

Black Hills in South Dakota. Historical stuff, beautiful parks, and kitschy stuff.

Also, when we visit my MIL in Michigan we usually stay about an hour away in South Haven. We always have a great time there - wonderful beaches.
