Well, now I have read how sleeve cap ease is bogus. How exactly do i apply the NO sleeve cap ease AND enlarge it for a larger upper arm? I'm confused and soooo frusterated. also, could I just copy off the shape of the armhole or something?

mastdenman   Intermediate CA USA Member since 1/12/04 Posts: 5843	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 3/11/12 10:23 PM I'm no expert on pattern drafting, but to have zero ease on a sleeve cap, the shoulder needs to be extended and probably a shoulder pad inserted. In PMB I try to stick to around 1 inch sleeve cap ease. The program defaults to about 1.67 inches, which is too difficult to ease in. You can bast from where the little arrow is normally on the bodice and sleeve, around to the other side. Then draw up the thread until the fabric is tighter, but doesn't pucker. It takes a little practice. ------ Marilyn January 2009 to January 2010 81 yards out and 71yards in January 2010 to the present 106.7 yards out and 146.5 yards in. January 2011 to the present: 47 yards out and 69 yards in.
