I have located a set of templates I want to buy they are called "Leaves Galore" by Sue Pelland and a set of 3 from IHAN (I have a notion) is $50.95. I wonder if anyone has an opinion on this price or if I can do better elsewhere.

That is the template. On IHAN there is a set of 3 different sizes for $50.95 . I am really looking for a serpentine shaped ruler. but found that set while searching. I am not a quilter so don't pay attention to the prices of the templates.

You can buy a lot of fabric for $51. I never tell anyone how to spend her money, and if these are just what you want you might as well bite the bullet, but if I were you I would look around first.

But then, my name is in the dictionary under CHEAP.

I know Kelly from IHAN. She has visited our Quilting Guild many, many times. And her prices are very reasonable; moreso than anywhere else. She states that when we order something from her, she actually lowers the price on the item so that the shipping isn't so high. And she does what she can to adjust shipping as well. She's very honest, up front, and very likeable.

EDITED TO ADD: Quilt designers charge their own prices for templates. Just look at the difference between Marti Michel and Laura Haltgren. By the way, I looked at Sue Pelland's website and she's charging $65.95 (plus shipping) for the same set of three templates that Kelly is charging $50.95, so that should tell you something.

Here is another serpentine ruler you might consider: Wave Edge Ruler

Miss Fairchild,

That is very interesting, I hadn't realize it, and I am sure that you are right.

I just quail at the thought of spending $51 for rulers, however reasonable. Spending a chunk of money always makes me nervous.

Pat Benatar, who at the time she said this was a big rock star, said, "Writing a check for $100 makes me nervous, writing one for $1000 puts me in the bathroom!"
