This is just the ribbing, like you might see on the neckband of casual teeshirts for example. (I actually need it for non-garment use; or, let me say, non-person garment use: it's for doll garments.)

If you are wanting something inexpensive try Jo-Ann's. They don't have a lot of options but they do have some basic ribbing fabrics.

Try Fabric.com for cotton ribbing. Here are three pages with different fiber contents to choose from.

Thank you Sarah! And they're having a sale on their rib knit.

Thank you Judy! I visited there after looking at Joann's. {Silly me, I'd not realized that "rib knit" and "knit ribbing" were one and the same.}

And some of their prices are lower than Joann's...and free shipping if I pick up some other fabrics. Hhmm!

I've used cotton interlock for doll shirt ribbing and also have gone to the dollar store and bought a men's XL sweatshirt and cut the ribbing and fabric to make little doll sweatshirts. Hope you'll review your doll clothes!

Now isn't this is a nifty idea! Thanks! I would not have thought of that, but that's a perfectly good idea, too.
