My next venture is to sew my dd a pair of skating pants and myself some yoga pants. I would like to make these from a bamboo fabric. Any suggestions on good online suppliers for this type of fabric would be appreciated. A northern Wisconsin gal with nearest fabric store over 2 hours away:-(

FabricMart has some -- Bamboo Knits at FabricMart -- but they don't have very many colors at the moment. Don't know if they'll get more in or not.
I sewed up a dress in a red 4-way stretch bamboo from them last summer. The fabric is very nice -- great stretch and recovery, soft, and not too thin -- and a dream to sew.
I've also purchased 4-way stretch bamboo from The Bamboo Fabric Store. They don't seem to offer the precise fabric I bought anymore, which was a 90% bamboo 10% lycra blend, but they do have this 95/5 blend, which is probably pretty lightweight, since the one I bought was, and this Bamboo/Cotton/Spandex blend, which is advertised as beefier, and probably more what you're looking for. I love the feel, drape and look of the fabric I bought from them, but after a season of wear it is beginning to pill.

Bamboo/spandex blend fabrics vary greatly in weight, sheerness and stretch. If you are ordering on-line I would strongly suggest getting samples before you buy.
For yoga and skating pants you are going to want something on the beefier side. No recommendations of where to go for this.
