I'd be interested in just about any garment sewing - women, kids, mens (primarily shirts for guys, actually).
Thanks! |

Date: 3/20/12 7:49 PM I just finished the Minoru jacket sew-along. I love the pattern, and the participants really added lots of cool ideas to the jacket. (Sewaholic blog)
One pattern One week is coming up within a week but I don't know which blog is hosting it.

Date: 3/20/12 8:09 PM The One Week One Pattern is being hosted by Tilly and the Buttons.
Also Rhinestones and Telephones is doing a sewalong of the patterns from the Colette Sewing Handbook. One a month, for all five included patterns.

Date: 3/21/12 5:32 AM Thank you so much for suggesting Tilly and the Buttons - it is just what I've been looking for as a beginner sewist
The suggestions for beginner projects are very appealing, have a purpose in terms of building your skill level and are all items I might actually use! Thanks again for the tip. If there are other sites out there with similar content I would love to know about them |

I tend to stumble upon sew a longs after the fact too. ------ 'The purpose of most fashion is to be ostentatiously non-functional.' |

Date: 5/28/12 6:16 AM I did ponder starting a 'shorts' sew-a-long for summer...after the energetic discussion on the thread on the trials and troubles of finding shorts that flatter.
