I've got some ponte knit and am looking for a pants pattern that is not as tight as leggings since the fabric isn't overly stretchy. I've got pattern 6440 but since no one has reviewed it yet, I don't know if I could use the ponte knit or not unless someone knows of a better pattern.

Burda 7863 might work.

I second the McCalls 6404. I just made it out of a camel coloured ponte and love them! They aren't as tight as jeggings, and the ones I made- with the diagonal seaming look great.
Note- the back rise is quite low. Raising it an inch would be a good idea!

I looked at Mccalls 6404 but after reading a couple reviews here, they said this wasn't the pattern for ponte so I was relucant on buying this pattern. You didn't have problems with using the ponte?

I just made style arc elle pants in ponte and they are lovely. Slim leg but not leggings as such.

I thought they worked well in the ponte. I've worn them all day and they are very comfortable.

The Stylearc wallis pattern is designed for ponte. it is similar to many of the pants I am seeing in RTW this autumn.
