Tips for using a Pfaff Coverstitch 3.0

I've had mine for a bit over a year and have taken serger classes and worked with it patiently waiting to finally get the hang of it. So far that hasn't happened. The latest problem is this: Using the three thread rolled hem stitch I get a beautiful rolled hem for about a foot and then the lower looper thread breaks. I have changed threads, the needle, rethreaded many times (using the manual) and finally took it to the dealer who told me it was probably a threading problem. I can't see any difference in his threading and mine. Any ideas or suggestions will be very much appreciated.
