Would like to set this thread up like a simple shopping (wish) list.

Please list any tools and/or supplies that you have successfully used in this category.

Links for resources or how to's with the tools are always appreciated.

Thank you.

Given that this particular forum is about "Pattern Modifications, Design Changes & Pattern Drafting", I'll stick with notions specific to that endeavor. Among tools already mentioned....

- Set of colored art pencils: Prismacolor [I bought a box of 36 at a local art supply store. They erase very easily.]
- Eraser: Staedtler Mars Plastic Eraser [Best eraser I ever used. Lasts forever.]
- Electric pencil sharpener

I use this as pattern paper. It's a table cover that isn't smooth, but easily drawn on, wide widths, inexpensive and can be sewn/ fitted if you're careful.

Sketching pencils with ebony lead is also good, since they leave marks dark as a pen, but the ease of using a pencil. Not the cheapest in the world, but they're about $5 for 12 and that will last a year or better, depending on how often you need them.

A bolt of muslin. I use a Joann's coupon to get 40 or 50 off. I also buy a heavier weight in 5 yard lengths from Gorgeous Fabrics.com
