2 members like this. Date: 3/25/12 7:49 PM I am just quite excited about this, but no one else in my house "gets" my excitement! So, I thought I'd post it here instead.
Anyone else crazy excited for the premiere tonight? It lasts 2 hours and 8 minutes! ------ http://talesofawannabeseamstress.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 3/26/12 0:09 AM I am so jealous of you. I just called Comcast today to try to get our cable upgraded today so we could watch it tonight (caught by surprise on the start date). Guy can't come until tomorrow so we'll miss the first episode. So how about a full report tomorrow? I can't wait to see it next week.
I figure this 1960's soap nicely complements my favorite early 20th century soap-Downton Abbey. Both are well done period pieces.

Date: 3/26/12 2:41 AM For the most part I thought it was a really good episode. Very strangely though, Betty is not in a single scene the entire episode! There is lots and lots of Megan and Don though, and a fair number of scenes with Peggy.
Lots of cute clothes. I especially like Peggy's dress at the party. I can't wait til next weeks episode!
ETA: Apparently Betty is absent from the first episode since January Jones was pregnant at the time of filming and they were working around that with her. -- Edited on 3/26/12 3:20 AM -- ------ http://talesofawannabeseamstress.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 3/26/12 2:37 PM Another Mad Men fan here! I loved Peggy's party dress too. As much as I dislike Betty, I think she is needed to give the show some more character. It started off as slow but by the end of this episode, the excitement built up again. I am so glad its back. ------ - Deepika

Date: 3/26/12 5:20 PM You can usually get it online or on iTunes the next day. If you go the iTunes route it is cheaper to buy the season. They email you when a new one is available. I did that the first two seasons.
This episode i found disappointing. Way too many commercials and it just didn't flow very well. I hope it improves!! ------ www.thereisjoyadventures.blogspot.com |

Date: 3/26/12 5:37 PM I agree, it did start off slow and boring...but improved toward the end. Can't wait for next week! ------ Bernina 730E; 440QE; Vintage 121; Babylock Imagine; Janome 900 Coverstitch
