I have downsized and now potentially will need to share my new sewing room with visiting family to accommodate a blow up queen mattress. I want a 35" cabinet. I have 2 machines. I want to be able to close up and roll the cabinet off to one wall. The closed Craft Pro looks to give me more floor space closed and more surface space open. I am looking for someone that owns one to tell me if I can sit at a stool comfortably and sew. Is the foot space too narrow? Is the leg space uncomfortable?

I looked at one last month. Please, before purchasing one, be sure to look at one in person - don't order one until you do. It is incredibly well made. However, I personally thought it was close - a lot like the old traditional sewing cabinets with very little table space around the machines. I'm planning to sew quilts and need every bit of space available.

Also make sure you are comfortable sitting at a table that high, because I am short 5'1" getting on and off the chair was not as easy as it is for someone tall. I have to kind of climb on to it, but if you are 5'6" or taller it may work for you really well.
Also look at the part of their web site that shows "suiets" of tables. That may work for you better depending on how the are set up. Good to use graph paper an lay out the shapes in scale including the blow up bed and what ever else you have in the room. There is also Unique Sewing Furniture and Gristmill Sewing Furniture that will make custom cabinets to fit your needs.

At one time, I had to be able to close and lock my cabinet to keep my kids out of it. I got a Horn 3156, which has four drawers to the right, the bins on the door to the left, and opens up HUGE. 42" wide closed, 84" open. What I liked about it was that when it was locked, even the drawers were, but I think the flanges on the drawers that do that could be removed. The 3156 isn't in their last catalogs, but the 2156 is: 35" closed, 70" open. NAYY. I have Koalas, too, bought on clearance. Seems like Koala only has a few cabinets now that close up at 35-42".
