Date: 3/28/12 8:59 PM I'm sure most PR members are already aware of this but I just wanted to mention how impressed I am with the great fabrics and customer service that Linda of Emma One Sock offers. Good customer service is getting harder to find these days so I like to say something nice about good service whenever I find it. I have been a customer for awhile now and have always been very pleased with the high quality fabrics which are so well packaged and sent promptly. This is a fabric source that I highly recommend! ------ Viking D1, 1+, Pfaff 7570, Singer 503 Rocketeer, 66, 15-91, Featherweight 5 Flock, Babylock Enlighten & Coverstitch and Pfaff Creative Performance |

Date: 3/29/12 0:26 AM You know how often she has a fabric that flies out the first day it is posted. It is exceedingly helpful that I can order something like that quickly and include a note to please hold that piece of fabric for a day or two so I have time to finish shopping the entire site without being driven by the rush for a limited or very popular fabric. This helps keep the shipping in check.
I have no options locally for purchasing garment fabric. All three of the fabric shops that I visited regularly in our travels have closed. I started shopping EmmaOneSock last year. Her service is great and I know I can count on finding something special every time I visit the website.
I asked Linda about a 'tropical' section recently and she plans to add that when time permits. ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |

Date: 3/29/12 8:58 AM I've been shopping with EOS for years now and considering that I can get into NYC in about 2 hours that's something. Some of her things I've seen at Mood or Elliot Berman, but she has knits and other designer fabrics that I never see in the city. Her customer service is fantastic and she has the best fabric photos and descriptions of anyone selling on the internet. I also have the now discontinued Pantone shoppers color chips which really helps to figure out what the colors really are.
I was in a bind last summer when a piece of fabric I had (from someone else) had damages on it so that I didn't have enough for a jacket I was making for a wedding. She came through for me and sent it out that day even though it was right before a holiday and I got it the next day. Her customer service really is the best. ------ www.nancyksews.blogspot.com |

Date: 3/29/12 10:53 AM I agree on the pictures. The larger photos that show how the fabric drapes are really valuable. Love the large free swatches also! When I can spend money on nicer fabrics, this is where I look first! |

Date: 3/29/12 12:07 PM I had to put my two cents worth in here, too. EOS is a wonderful resource. It's sometimes hard to purchase fabric without feeling it, but I can always count on fabric from EOS being great quality. I also rely heavily on the Pantone color matching. Linda is great and a pleasure to deal with. |

Date: 3/29/12 12:15 PM I, also, love that she shows how each fabric drapes. This makes a huge difference in assessing fabrics online, and I sure wish more vendors would do it.
And I appreciate her beautifully tissue-wrapped little bundles of fabric! So pretty -- it really adds something for me. ------ marjoriekh |

Date: 3/29/12 4:35 PM I have never been disappointed with my purchases from Linda. The quality of the fabric is just wonderful. Yes, I have gotten in on a buy too late and she sends a very prompt email letting you know, with substitution recommendations and she holds your order until everything is settled and you do not incur extra shipping costs.
Love her site, fabric and service. ------ Karen

Date: 3/29/12 8:42 PM I agree that EOS is a great source for special fabrics. The quality is excellent, and Linda provides free swatches. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Date: 3/29/12 10:00 PM I also love EOS! When I have a question, Linda responds promptly. She always packs fabric beautifully in tisssue, and quickly sends it out. It is a pleasure to stalk her site, and everything I have bought from her is lovely and high quality. Those photos that show both detail and drape are incredibly valuable for on-line purchasing. |
