Thought I would start a post so our members in the Dallas area can let us know that they are all OK.

We've checked in with our family members who are spread out from one end of the area to the other, from the SW side of Fort Worth, through, across and close to Paris. They are all reporting in with no injuries and minimal hail damage.

I lived in there for thirty years. I remember something pretty bad from about 45 years ago, but still, not with some many extremely violent tornadoes all at once.

I'm watching for folks to check in too.

I posted on my Prez thread.. Wowie.. what a day.. and would you not know it. I just spent 24/7 in my gardens the last two weeks repairing the damage from last years drought.. sigh.

Too close for comfort .. and too many tornadoes for sure. but we are okay. as is sewfrequent.. whose neighborhood did get hit worse than mine I think.

A few neighborhoods are under curfew.. but no lives were lost that we know of now.. Most luckily were not home at the time as the storms came thru in the early afternoon.. albeit lasting for over four hours.

I'm doing ok. I'm in NE Dallas (Richardson) and the tornadoes skipped our area. Basically we just had a lot of rain.

I work in Irving, big hail, lots of dings in the car and a cracked windshield. Live in N. Arlington, all is good there. Looking out the window today, at work, it's sunny skies, birds are chirping and there's a couple of auto glass repair trucks in the parking lot. Expect to see lots of those this week!

We're fine. According to an interactive map the Dallas News posted, there was rotation spotted near our apartment but I saw nothing more exciting than some rain and a few good lightning strikes. Thankful we escaped without any problems at all as others weren't so fortunate.

Interesting how weather is, eh? Just this afternoon it was so cool and breezy that I took the dog and the convertible out for a topless drive to White Rock Lake. We walked and played for a bit. It was so lovely.

I am glad that all is well and the worst of it is gardens and glass.
