Date: 4/6/12 8:21 AM This might seem like a strange question, but -- If a pattern has gotten wet, is it still usable? I'm wondering if there would be any shrinkage or such in the drying out process. I was going to just wait for a sale and get a new copy, but now I see it's gone out of print and is pricey!
Thanks all!

Subject: Pattern thats gotten wet. Still usable? Date: 4/6/12 11:06 AM Paper can stretch (that's is why it is recommended that copier paper remain in it's wrapper until placed into the printer) and once wet distort.
You do not have many options other than to lay it flat and hope for the best. |

Subject: Pattern thats gotten wet. Still usable? Date: 4/6/12 5:53 PM I've had water splash on tissue pattern pieces during the pressing process (spit out by the iron). Never had a problem with them after they've dried (which they do pretty quick when you hit 'em with a hot iron!). ------ ~Gem in the prairie |

Subject: Pattern thats gotten wet. Still usable? Date: 4/6/12 7:32 PM They can shrink - that's what happened to a Burda pattern that accidentally got wet when my laundry sink overflowed... If there's a note on finished garment measurements anywhere on the tissue or the envelope, maybe you can flat-measure and determine whether it has shrunk or not? ------ I've moved!
