Date: 4/6/12 11:41 AM Some of you may already know about this but I wanted to start a topic informing those who may not. The news is not good but we are ready to fight for this little guy.
MelissaB in WA's youngest (7 year old) son, Andy was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia a couple weeks ago.
As you can imagine it is a long road ahead for Melissa and her family as they care for Andy. My heart breaks for her but I'd like to help in any way I can.
A bunch of us have been talking about making a quilt for Andy or sending individual gifts. Nothing has been set in stone yet, so I am starting this topic for all those who want to participate. Please feel free to jump in.

Subject: Support for Melissa in WAs son Andy Date: 4/6/12 11:51 AM For those of you not on Facebook, there's also a new website: www.teamandybauska.org. Melissa hasn't started posting updates there yet, but go ahead and bookmark the site.
I've been in frequent contact with her and I can tell you she's in amazing spirits, but ready to be out of the hospital and back in her own bed! Andy, at last report, is doing really well after two doses of chemo.
Head over to FB or the website and hear it in her own words.

Date: 4/6/12 12:52 PM Thank you for letting us all know.
My heart goes out to Melissa, Andy and her family.
Leukemia has touched my family and one way to help is to sign up as an unrelated bone marrow donor. You may never be called to donate, but you may also save a life.
I cannot access the FB page for some reason. I will keep trying to log into it. ------ Proud parent of a Dwight International School Honour Roll Student |
