6 members like this. Date: 4/6/12 4:00 PM I actually received a Corporate reply today from my message that they carried only a few bad or ugly knits when so many patterns are for knits only.
She said they had a new buying staff and they will be stocking more knits, ITY, and lots more!
We shall see.....
Maybe PR has a good thing going, influencing WM and now others!
If we could just get JA's to delete their silly waiting lines now..... |

Date: 4/7/12 10:21 PM That would be nice! I would also like to see more lucrative, esp during this time of year. 2 yrs ago both Joannes and Hancocks had a much better selection of lycra. The swim suit fabric selection is the same as a yr ago.
I hope some fun knits show up! It is a pain to order online! ------ I'm fairly new to sewing but I am finding it to be fun and rewarding! |

Picked up some bright spring eyelets for tunics and swimsuit cover-up, lovely stretch poplin lycra, cotton voile-- all half price. They seem to be putting out more Clearance every week for, hopefully, lots of new choices. The clearance is not limited to winter fabrics either but some that just came in for spring.

Date: 4/26/13 1:40 PM gramma b, I was told that the CEO is trying to move all the "old" fabric so they can put in the new. That's why we have Spot the Dot. You are right, there are some really nice choices and good prices on Spot the Dot. Just wish I could find more in the 60-90% off, instead of so much in the 50%. |

Date: 4/26/13 2:07 PM That would be nice. I can remember years ago, when they actually had huge flat fold tables and I mean huge, like at least 12 feet long and maybe 4 feet wide and stacked maybe 2 or 3 feet deep, one with all flat fold cuts of swim suit Lycra, (no bolts) printed and plain and most times another one of the same, of just all kinds of single knit too, also no bolts. And it would not be a one time kind of thing, they most times actually did have that there, more as a running kind of thing, and all the time or at least seasonal. And that was not even counting all the regular knits actually on the bolts at all. It would be nice if they brought that kind of thing back there. |
