Date: 4/8/12 3:12 AM Hi Sunshine12242 . Is the pattern for a set in sleeve? If so, what I usually do for a quick fix is raise the underarm point a little bit - half an inch usually does it. This is because normally a pattern with sleeves will have a lower armhole. Then I draw the shoulder out an Inch to an inch and a half, sloping it down from the shoulder point, half an inch to an inch, and making the angle into a curve. More of a slope will hug your upper arm/shoulder area more, less will be more flappy. Then I decide on the finish I'm having for the sleeve cap and armhole - probably construct a facing. Another way is to raise the armhole as before and take a slice off the top of the sleeve pattern to make a separate cap which is stitched in. HTH. ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn
