My 830 is still in Chicago being repaired but in the meantime I am DREAMING about trying out some Sashiko when it comes back. I've picked up the Sashiko Inspiration book and will go though that while I wait but I'm wondering if anyone else is doing this on his/her 830.
At one time I considered investing in the BL Sashiko machine but I fought off the urge (at least for now) as I don't really want yet another machine...although, believe me, if I get the bug really bad I will bite.
Funny, I don't remember being absentminded.

I just took the plunge and got a Babylock Sashiko machine. I was unhappy with my 830's Sashiko-ish stitches, and the not-so-invisible thread I was using to try to create the hand-stitched look.
So far I love my BL Sashiko and its quirky industrial sounds. The "Made-in-Japan" machine feels rock solid, the stitches look truly hand-stitched, and the running stitches on the back don't really bother me, though I still feel nuts for getting a one-stitch machine that is crazy pricey.
But the hole in my head is slowly closing, and I just hope I use it more than my bread machine that's stuck in storage. But that's partly because of my FBAD (Fresh Bread addiction). My SMAD puts on fewer calories :)

The BL Sashy is AMAZING!!!
Every time I go into my BL dealer's, I play with that thing. Just watching it is sooo cool!
I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you.
