Date: 4/11/12 6:17 PM I've made a somewhat vintage style dress and feel it needs some fancy pockets for that finishing touch and to make it a bit more girly. I am thinking a top band of the same cream as the collar, then the lower section gathered or pleated into this (and possibly sewn onto the dress at an angle?).
I'm finding drafting this to be surprisingly tricky though if anyone has any tips, eg on how much cut and spread to add, how to redraw the edges, what sort of size to aim for.
Even just some photos of dresses or patterns with similar pockets would be good as I have been looking all over the place and really drawn a blank.
Any other feedback on this dress also welcome eg length?
