Date: 4/13/12 8:25 AM I don't know if this is the right area for this...but for any of you who are using Simplicity 1920 and making the Infinity Scarf(I'm making this up as a demo for Joann Sewing class).... The yardage requirement is 7/8 not 5/8. I had to take out almost 5 inches in the depth/length of the scarf, because of this mistake. I made this to actually fit me(FBA, forward shoulder, petite one inch). Luckily, I'm short and had to raise everything on the blouse, including the neckline, so the smaller scarf worked |

Date: 6/23/12 1:08 AM Thanks for the heads up. I just measured the pattern piece, and you are indeed correct! Yikes!! I'm glad I found this thread before I started this project. Did you call or e-mail Simplicity to notify them of the error?

Date: 6/23/12 9:04 AM KC, no I didn't notify Simplicity. Suppose I should have. I think if I had bought this pattern to make for myself, I would have been more inclined to do that. As is was, the instructor loaned me her "free" copy and I went from there. I will never use this scarf(I can't stand things like this around my neck). I've promised it to one of my most eager students. Almost all the students I've had for that class, do well with the smaller scarf. It's not as full and doesn't "weigh" them down. |
