I've been busy catching up on samples for my course. The last lesson focussed on button holes. I had left my machine at home, and after eyeing up (dubiously) the 5 step button hole on the sewing machine in class, I thought I'd go back home to my tried and trusted (completely manual button hole) machine.
Now, what are the chances, after a long day at work of the following? I set up the machine, sew my sample, and the whole thing goes without a hitch in 3 minutes flat. I ALWAYS have to practice. Something always happens (like pancake making). A stitch slips, it isn't quite straight etc.
Seriously, murphy's law in reverse. Where can I bottle this kind of luck for future use???
