The colors in your thread box... reveal about you? What do they reveal about you?

When I got home and went to put the thread in my thread box, I discovered that I already had SIX (count 'em, six!) of that same color. So now I have eight of them. The color is Gütermann 551. I understand this -- I'm an earth girl, and taupey-browns are among my favorite colors. I also like fairly classic styles -- black, earth colors, and splashes of more adventurous colors. (She's turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, a little pink, black and bright purple. I'm browns, taupes, ivory, navy, wine and aubergine.) Of course, as she likes to say: 'I'm nine, and my mother's forty-nine.' Sometimes my thread collection makes me think I should branch out more, but I almost invariably regret it when I do. ------ marjoriekh

I also have a lot of purples. A few pinks and 1 brown. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors. Purple fabric (that is too precious to actually cut) purple shoes, purple dresses, purple sweaters and lots of purple thread. And purple tulips, iris, clematis......

Gah... Amy May - I looooove purple and have a terrible time finding good purples. Every time I wear purple, I get compliments. The blue-tone purples are the ones I love.
