Within the last month, I've come across an excellent tip for attaching facing to a v-neck (woven, not knit). Problem? Yep, I have no clue where I saw it! Was it a Peggy Sagers' webcast, THREADS tutorial, board posting???

Someone in PR land knows what I'm talking about, right? Help me!

Nhihuynh is always ready with good information. She referenced 'Fashion Incubator' and when I checked it out I saw that there is a tutorial on v neck facings along with many other tutorials.

Thanks, CM. I'm on the iPad this week and linking is a nuisance.

The key here is that you have to stay stitch the v in small stitches. I have seen it done on the shell side and you sew the v on the outside and then switch to the inside to sew the remainder. But I like this method because, one you are sewing with the more stable interfaced side up and two you don't see the stay stitching if you don't sew exactly on the staystitching. If you want the facings to stay on the inside you may have to use understitching on the facing side.
