Date: 4/25/12 10:51 AM Does anyone know of a good source to learn how to quilt your own fabrics rather than buying the expensive, already-quilted fabric--for use with bags, etc.? Thank you! ------ Baby Lock Ellure Plus * Kenmore 385.1764180 * Singer 115 * Baby Lock Imagine Wave

Date: 4/26/12 3:39 PM Usually for totes, I would use fusible fleece, or warm/natural batting. I would also a machine quilting class to learn about different techniques of quilting to do your own threadwork designs on the bag. |

Date: 4/26/12 3:46 PM Thank you! I am making a sewing machine cover and thought the quilting would look nice. I guess I would use the same type of batting. ------ Baby Lock Ellure Plus * Kenmore 385.1764180 * Singer 115 * Baby Lock Imagine Wave

Date: 4/26/12 4:20 PM I have made several machine covers over the years and recently discovered Soft and Stable. It is a polyester covered foam that can be used for purses etc. What I like about it is that it will not slouch over the machine but really hold its shape. I think the quilting in the link below looks fabulous!
