Good source for quilting your own fabric? How to learn to quilt your own fabric for bags, etc.

I would also a machine quilting class to learn about different techniques of quilting to do your own threadwork designs on the bag.

I am making a sewing machine cover and thought the quilting would look nice. It is a polyester covered foam that can be used for purses etc. What I like about it is that it will not slouch over the machine but really hold its shape.
