Bent zippers, cornered zippers

Is this going to be as simple as easing a straight zipper into a curved or bent placket? I'm thinking i may have to crimp, snip, or otherwise manipulate the tape to get this to work.

quathy   Intermediate CA USA Member since 6/3/06 Posts: 757	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 4/28/12 3:46 AM When sewing a purse, I clipped the edge of the zipper tape -- only 1/8" -- which allowed it to bend around a 90-degree angle curve. Worked like a charm. I doubt you'll need that with the more gentle curves shown in your photos, though.

Construction would probably be just a bit fiddley with lining everything up correctly, but what a statement. He does variations of it a lot. Dude's wild, every show of his I see something I want to buy/make, menswear and womenswear alike.
