Date: 4/30/12 1:06 PM I always feel like certain garments are not complete w/o a lining, but am having trouble finding any resources on this. Also, I am baffled by how most sewing patterns skip the lining part. Maybe this is more in the realm of tailoring, but I would still like to learn step by step how to put linings in a garment. I'm working on a skirt suit right now, so I need some help. Thanks. |

Date: 4/30/12 1:10 PM Reader's Digest's Complete Guide to Sewing. It not only talks about linings, but also interlinings. I was making a MOB dress, out of silk and I wanted to line it in cotton batiste. The dress had a french dart and I didn't know how to line the dart area--together or separate. Had it not been for my RDCGTS, I would still be working on that dress! ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Jean-Charles Boisset, Winemaker
