Date: 4/30/12 10:51 PM I am not new to sewing and have used many patterns and different ways to do things but never had a pattern "whip" me until this one. The back opening just will not work for me. When I do it like they instructions say my left and right backs just don't match up. Has anyone else used this pattern? Am I just having a mental block? Maybe I should just walk away and come back later??? |

If it still won't work out, try arranging the back opening to look like you think it should and work backwards from there. I tend to do that a lot when directions start to look like greek to me! ------ Connie Bontje

Date: 5/2/12 11:26 AM In looking at the pattern front & back views, did you do all of your pleating/tucks on the front and the back gathers as per the instruction sheet and as shown in the sketches?

Double check them and re-align them yourself, is my suggestion, if they still don't line up properly. ------ A photo is worth a thousand words...

Date: 5/4/12 12:33 PM Using the stitching lines on the paper pattern, (mark them if they're not on the pieces) check to see if they fit together.
That way you can find out it the error is your or the pattern company. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 2/8/13 9:08 PM Did you ever find out how to finish the back of the dress? I am trying to make dress A for my daughter and I have had a very rough time trying to figure it out. If you have any tips please share. Thanks |
