Simplicity 2629 I can't figure out the placket instructions

The back opening just will not work for me. When I do it like they instructions say my left and right backs just don't match up. Has anyone else used this pattern? Am I just having a mental block? Maybe I should just walk away and come back later???

If it still won't work out, try arranging the back opening to look like you think it should and work backwards from there. Oceanpeg   Advanced NJ USA Member since 4/1/08 Posts: 176	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 5/2/12 11:26 AM In looking at the pattern front & back views, did you do all of your pleating/tucks on the front and the back gathers as per the instruction sheet and as shown in the sketches? 2629 front & back sketches Double check them and re-align them yourself, is my suggestion, if they still don't line up properly. ------ A photo is worth a thousand words... That way you can find out it the error is your or the pattern company. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.
