Date: 5/1/12 6:50 AM My local quilt shop is participating this year and the fabrics look really nice. There are 54 shops and some nice prizes available if you make it to 16 of them. I'll probably get to three as I'm a bus rider, but my local shop does have the fabrics available for preorder,
Here is the info..it does look like fun

Date: 5/1/12 7:29 AM I have two sons temporarily working in the Seattle area. I've planned my next visit to coincide with this event and have already bought my plane ticket. Can't wait! ------ Patricia

1 member likes this. Date: 6/25/12 12:04 PM I made it to 42 shops this year and plan to go to Island Quilter on Vashon in the next 2 days just to get the block. We missed its ferry by just a few minutes to get there by 8 pm. My 11 year old daughter loves the shop hop and this was her first year to get the adult blocks for which she got 20 of them, the funner ones only. I just love going through the little kits and making them up one by one. It's sort of addictive.
This year I also worked in the local shop, Front Porch Quilts, where the poster quilt is hanging on the wall. ------ They're not mistakes, they're creative opportunities |

Date: 6/25/12 7:36 PM Well, my husband I drove to Memphis, TN and then flew non-stop to Seattle on Tuesday so that we could visit our sons and their families. My daughter-in-law and I visited 22 shops in 3 days, which was more than I ever expected to accomplish, especially since we had a 1 year-old in tow. It was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. The 50 degree weather in Seattle was definitely a change from our 90+ degree heat here in MS! ------ Patricia
