Date: 5/1/12 7:30 PM Today is May 1st. I remember when i was young. We would make candy may baskets. We would distribute them through out the neighborhood set the candy baskets down and run.
Do they still do that anymore? Oh well i have memories.
Does anyone have a birthday this month?
Next week I'm going to minot North dakota for my nieces wedding. It will be nice to see them again .
Todays weather will get a little nasty. We have tornado warning out ontil 1 am. I like the rain but that other nasty weather can stay away. Happy may!!!!!!!!!

Date: 5/1/12 8:48 PM I have 2 grandkids with birthdays this month.
My DGD will be celebrating her 1st birthday on May 14th (our only grand-daughter so she is sure to be spoiled) -- we are actually celebrating her birthday this coming weekend as that is when we will be there for wedding plans.
One of my 5 DGS will be celebrating his 9th birthday on May 21st (same family as DGD above -- also celebrating his birthday this weekend).
We'll be busy grandparents this coming weekend.

It is also my great grandson's birthday.
My grandmothers birthday was today.
My grandaughters birthday is the 9th.
May is a good month. Now if it would just warm up so I can get back in the garden life would be perfect. ------

Date: 5/2/12 11:30 AM This morning the birds are chirping, my trees and bushes (most of them) are blooming, and later this week I can buy some bedding plants. Snow is gone and my lawn is already pretty green. My house is getting some much deserved fresh air. I think I can safely put away my LL Bean -50 parka and my boots!!

My DD is getting her Masters on the 7th of May.. Am very proud of her.. even though she really enjoys her studies.. and may stay in the University system for the rest of her life taking one class after another it seems.. She just enjoys the challenge and using her brain..
Lots of things blooming in my gardens.. which I have been in every day for hours going on for a month now.. But its starting to pay off.. my yard is looking like a beautiful park more and more everyday..
Am getting lots of comments on my Smoke tree/bush.. It is something to see so try one if it will grow in your area.
LOTS of butterflies already also.. and I see my pair of cardinals are still around..
THE frogs are busy in my pond.. so lots of little frogs to follow.. At least those frogs won't be moving in my guest room or driving my car..
But I fear our Spring is over.. I could feel summer in the hot air yesterday. Its 78 now as I post this.. and only one in the afternoon. Very humid which makes it all the worse.
Congrats to all of our May graduates.. May they all leave home soon.. Thankfully mine already have left. Too bad really. .I could use a good yard man.. or woman.. |

Date: 5/2/12 2:15 PM well piggling all my babies are gone and on their own as well. Leaves me lots of time to sew oh and I do have a baby, Lhaso-Ahpso he is so cute til he comes back from the woods
Have to pick him up from the groomer which is why I was just thinking of him.
It is the busy season at Wheels RV, my employer, and I like the busy season.
We are playing at a charity event "Meals on Wheels" Saturday and that should be fun.

My oldest son is getting married, and soon! After negotiating with her parents, in Japan, on the date their anticipated January wedding will be in August, less than four months from now.
I'll be starting a thread as I'm clueless on what to wear in Hawaii. Oh, that too, we're going to Hawaii for the wedding. Did I say in less than four months.
Looks like lots of great news for everyone this May.
