Fabric Irony Odd find at Fabricland

Reminds me of when I went to buy some dark denim at a local fabric shop and when the lady cut it she realised that it had been damaged during processing and would disintegrate very quickly under the slightest stress, so it wasn't suitable for sewing with. She offered me the whole roll for free if I wanted it. I was on foot so couldn't take it, but it would probably have been useful for testing patterns.

Maybe that is why that sign is on it! It's kind of hard to tell by the picture, as I guess it could be some kind of pique knit like a golf shirt, but to me it looks more like coffee filter paper, pressed and formed sheeting ect. I have seen that kind of "looking" stuff in the deco departments of fabric stores lately. In that case, it's not woven and it's not knitted. It's pressed and formed instead. And not really fabric. If you were to sew into it, and wear it more than once, or even once, it would probably rip apart at the stitching line. Or if you were to wash it, it might fall apart. I guess to describe it, it might be more akin to wet laid interfacing, or really polyester coffee filter paper or such. If it's that, It is also the kind of stuff that people or companies sometimes use instead of fabric when they can get away with it, you might more see it stapled to the bottom of your box spring mattress or something like that. Anyways maybe that is what it is, hence that warning on the bolt. Might be O.K. for some kind of wear just once Halloween costume or such, if not tight fitting and it did not rip, but I think that's about it.
