Date: 5/3/12 7:40 AM Is anyone making styles such as the dolman and bat-wing sleeves and will they last? I find trying on RTW that it's annoying to have a whole top lift up from the waist when you raise your arm! I do have one with the regular side seam inside and then a faux batwing on the outside that works.
For T's, on Pinterest you can find various ruffles and flowers added.
One I'd like to try shows a man's or XL Tee with the extra fabric gathered up to the side and tied. |

I love the white one, scroll way down.
I found a quality pink stripe Oxford cloth dress shirt at SA with tags on (I guess real guys don't wear pink) and cut it up for GD. Cute and fast, I left on the existing shirt tail hem and put the waist casing for the elastic inside. I used bias tape for the neck tunnel, as turning the top button placket twice made it pretty thick to get the elastic thru. Long sleeves will also get you a matching headband.
I think you could re-purpose your own Men's XL for a cute tunic like this. -- Edited on 1/23/13 5:04 PM -- |
