Date: 5/7/12 11:41 AM It's been a while since we have had a contest involving 11 piece or 5 piece wardrobes. My ASG group is beginning an 11 piece swap and I need some guidance on what makes up a usable, versatile collection. I thought if I could review the rules we used here it might jog my memory and get me started on the right track. My search in the archives got me nowhere. Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Date: 5/7/12 12:09 PM I think the original SWAP by Timmel Fabrics was 4 bottoms, 6 tops, and 1 jacket where all the tops should go with all the bottoms and one print should be chosen. The jacket should go with all combinations and one top and bottom could be traded out for a dress that goes with the jacket.
If you search for "sewing with a plan" in the title the older swap discussions here on pr will come up. ------ Liz

Date: 5/7/12 12:29 PM Here is some info from an old contest back in 06 I think. It may help.
Quote: Requirements:
6 tops
4 bottoms
1 jacket
All tops must work with all bottoms (remember - you won’t have to look when you get dressed).
Jacket must work with all outfits.
Dress alternatives:
If you want to make dresses, particularly since those are popular this year, here is the option I came up with (which conveniently matches one that was suggested, so I think it has legs):
4 tops
3 bottoms
3 dresses
1 jacket
(Actually, if you want to make less than 3 dresses, the order of substitution would be: 1 top for 1st dress, 1 bottom for 2nd dress, 1 top for 3rd dress.)

2 members like this. Date: 5/7/12 4:07 PM Thanks so much for the info. I'm sure I will get lots of ideas from this.
Maybe it is time to add a swap to the contest list again.
