Hi

sorry another question, i saw the name Sharps mentioned on here and googled them and they are selling coverpro feet on ebay uk. are these attachments good as they are much cheaper and has anyone bought these in uk and i wonder if we have to pay import duty. or are there any others available in the uk for me to buy.

thanks

Margaret, have you checked part 2 of the Coverpro Guide for info on feet. I'm not sure if your question is answered there but I remember a lot of talk about Sharps a few years ago. You may find some UK dealers - Gurs comes to mind as one that had attachments at a good price.

thanks i will look at gurs, i purchased my embroidery machine from them a few years ago. i visited their shop before they moved. GUR were 10 cheaper for the hemming foot than from where i got my machine from but as the machine was free delivery i just added the hemmer onto it. cant seem to find any generic ones in uk, as yet.
update just read part two and will wait until i have tried techniques first, think may be wasting my money on things may not use.

I bought the hem guide and can tell you that I prefer to press my hem in place and mark my distance with blue painters tape - alot easier and more efficient than using the hem attachment, in my opinion. I also got the center guide foot so I would have the clear foot to use with a binder attachment. I bought an A type binder from Sharp but had my hubby have an acquaintance make me the attachment plate to hold it to the machine. First I just taped the binder in place to see if I liked using it. When I found that I did I wanted the attachment plate but $100 was too pricey for me. Luckily we knew a machinist who could make it.
