I would like to add a lining to a pre-smocked dress. Specifically, the fabric that is presmocked on one end and flowing free on the other side, so you just stitch up a seam, add a couple of shoulder straps if desired, and you have a dress. The fabric is available at my JoAnn's, but it is a little thin to not a have a lining. Would one just attach the lining at regular points on the smocking inside the bodice?
