Date: 5/15/12 10:55 PM I just got the July 2012 issue of Threads magazine and I want to make the blue striped dress featured on the cover. Where do I find that EXACT fabric? OK. If that exact fabric isn't findable, how close can I get? I've looked around a little on the internet and I can't find it. But surely it is out there, right? Thanks for any help with this. |

Date: 5/16/12 9:51 AM i read on page 10 that starting with this issue that they will provide fabric information for the sewn garment when possible. I would ask them though. It looks like a cotton shirting and if you searched blue green stripe cotton shirting on different fabric sites you might find it or something similar. |

Date: 5/16/12 11:33 PM Thank you. I have sent them an email and let's see if they reply. I have searched on many fabric sites but I haven't found that exact fabric. I'm afraid that if I use something different that the look won't be the same. And I want to end up with THAT dress. |

Date: 5/27/12 11:23 PM To date I have not gotten a reply from Threads magazine. I have searched all the online fabric stores that I know about and learned about a few new ones in the process. I am so bummed about this. I signed up for a garment workshop for the sole purpose of having someone help me with making this dress. I simply cannot find any fabric that is sufficiently similar to the one in the magazine |
