Friends of PR I've read the membership benefits...

Can the 10% off at JoAnn be used with the coupons they send out? ------ I'm fairly new to sewing but I am finding it to be fun and rewarding!

The card cannot be used when purchasing remnants, patterns and gift cards or for previous purchases. Nothing else is listed as an exclusion. There are benefits at PR that may be of interest to you, but not for me personally. In fact, I am feeling the same about JA. It is not worth paying a membership fee to get the discount card when I am not matching said fee with savings. -- Edited on 5/19/12 5:55 PM --

Maybe you want to participate in some contests? Post classifieds? No one can tell you if purchasing a membership is right for you... you'll just have to see if the price measures up to the possible benefits. Personally I didn't sign up at first, but as I got more into the board, I realized that I wanted the additional features that being a paid member bought me, so that's when I paid. I'm not aware of whatever the other benefits are. I assume that I glossed over them because they are of no benefit to me in New Zealand. I am not travelling halfway across the world to shop somewhere that gives me a 10% discount

I am unable to buy Jalie patterns locally, and it actually is more cost effective for me to buy them from PR than from the company itself. I will also add another vote for the usefulness of the pattern catalogue and wishlist, and I get a lot of benefit from the knowledgebase too. ------ Wendy Wellington, New Zealand
