Shark Navigator Liftaway Experience? How does it work on carpet with threads?

I don't want to buy a new vacuum unless I know it would be better than what I already own, though I haven't bought a new vacuum cleaner in at least a decade. My aunt has a long haired dog and thinks the Shark Navigator Liftaway is the best thing ever invented. She lives too far away for me to borrow her machine. Does anyone here use one of these on the threads that hang onto clothes and fall all over the house? (Am I the only thread slob?) :blush: Thanks!

I also wanted something with an 11" cleaning path that would get under furniture, around the toilet, etc. I liked it at first; the cleaning power was pretty good. I especially liked the liftaway part, where I could use it to clean my sewing room. I liked being able to dump whatever, without having to worry about a bag. And yes, it did clean well. But....I gave it to DH for his man cave.. Why? Well the darn thing tips over very easy; the design is poor as the motor sits higher than the wheels. So just when you thought you had the thing upright, over it goes; almost injured the dog. Another reason why I gave it away was because the dust cup was too small! It looks big in the picture, but there's a tube in the middle of it which takes up about half the size. Another reason is that darn filter; it's a piece of foam and Shark requires you to clean it every three months. Yuck! Although I'm all about "reuse, reduce, recycle", trying to get that 2 inch piece of foam clean was a bear! Mostly because it took over two days for it to dry. (Imagine trying to clean memory foam because that's about what it was.) And finally, when I lowered the handle to vacuum, there was no handle release; you just tugged on it till it went down. This told me that after a while this would wear out; from all the up and down movement. So, I bought another Wind Tunnel... ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. It's very strong in term of suction, but it also tips over very easily when using the hose. Still, very worth the low price. I've had it for about 3 years. ------ 🌸 Plenty of machines, mostly Berninas 🌸
