Date: 5/22/12 1:12 PM I am making a dress from the already shirred fabric you can get to make an instant dress. I am having a brain fart about the hem and it being uneven after sewing the side seam at the bottom. The hem I'm working with is about 5/8" off at the bottom. I thought if I cut off and blended the longer with the shorter, it's going to be shorter on that side so that doesn't work, right? How do I even out the whole thing? Thanks for your help! ------ Baby Lock Ellure Plus * Kenmore 385.1764180 * Singer 115 * Baby Lock Imagine Wave

Date: 5/23/12 9:27 AM If you start sewing the seam from the bottom edge of the fabric and make it even, you can then ease the excess fabric in at the gathered edge without it being seen. Good luck. |
